Perhaps you are finally starting to deal with some of the hurt you pushed down inside for many years. My husband spend his first 6 years in an orphanage. He is 54, and for the first time he admitted to me and himself that it hurt like hell.
You don't use it as an excuse, and you don't wallow in it...but it is good for the soul to acknowledge it and forgive.
